Scholarships

Nearly all our St. Francis students receive scholarships that cover the full cost of tuition.

The State of Ohio offers Cleveland and Ed Choice Scholarships that cover the full cost of tuition at St. Francis. Diocesan and other need-based scholarships are available for those who may not qualify for state-funded scholarships.

We Accept Students Throughout the School Year

We’ll call you and walk you through the process, step by step.

If you’d prefer, you can reach us directly at 216-361-4858, or email us at admin@stfranciscleveland.org.

K-8 Students Receive:

Everyone who lives in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District is eligible to receive a Cleveland Scholarship.

EdChoice & EdChoice Expansion Scholarships
EdChoice & EdChoice Expansion Scholarships

If you live outside Cleveland, there are several possible ways to be eligible for EdChoice Scholarships:

    • If your child currently attends—or is zoned to attend—a school on the 2023-24 Designated Schools List, you are eligible for an EdChoice Scholarship.
    • If your family income is below 250% of the federal poverty line, you are eligible for an EdChoice Expansion Scholarship. You can see the 2023-24 guidelines here.
    • There are other paths to eligibility for foster children, children who may have been homeless, siblings of current scholarship students, and others. See this fact sheet for full eligibility guidelines.

How to Apply

The scholarship application process is simple, and our team can walk you through it—it’s completely on-line and consists of a form, a birth certificate, proof of residency, and—for Ed Choice Expansion scholars—your W2s.

If you have any questions, please call us at 216-361-4858, email Jerrid Atkinson at admin@stfranciscleveland.org, or complete a brief inquiry form.
